The District may charge fees for certain programs, materials, courses or activities as permitted by law and Board policy. Families experiencing financial hardship may qualify for waiver of eligible school fees. Currently, all students qualify for free breakfast and lunch meals through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), as authorized by the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. This provision allows our students to receive free meals starting this school year through the end of the 2027-2028 school year. Please see below for important details regarding the CEP program. The CEP does not cover other fees associated with school, so it is important for families to continue to apply for fee assistance each school year.
Families are responsible for reviewing assigned fees and completing the District's fee-waiver process when assistance is needed. A fee-waiver application is required each school year. To apply for fee assistance, visit our Food and Nutrition Services webpage.
Families with questions regarding a specific fee should contact their student's school. Questions regarding fee-waiver eligibility or the application process may be directed to the District's Food and Nutrition Services department or Registration staff.
