I am originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and currently reside in Beloit. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and a Master’s degree from Marquette University. I recently completed my Doctor of Education degree from Aurora University.
I have worked in public, private, charter, and parochial schools during my 24 years in education. I also coached both basketball and track while I was an educator in Milwaukee.
Welcome
On behalf of the Board of Education and administration, welcome to the Harlem School District! The Mission of our District is to focus our resources and energy on helping our diverse learners realize they have unlimited potential. In order to do that, we work to create an equitable environment that is based on fulfilling the needs of each individual student. We do that through our academic programming at all levels Pre-K through Grade 12.
This programming focuses on our six Long-Range Plan Goals which were developed and approved by the School Board in 2022. We engaged our school and greater community stakeholders in a visioning process in order to update and re-establish the following six goals:
Student Learning
All students will be provided a continuum of learning experiences that prepare them for life after high school/
The District will provide opportunities to engage and connect students beyond the classroom through interested-based activities.
Learning Conditions
The District will utilize a building and facility maintenance cycle and assess the current and future program needs.
The District will foster and continue to grow an environment that promotes the social, emotional, and physical growth of all students and staff.
The District will create an equitable environment where all stakeholders feel valued, supported, and safe.
Elevating Educators
The District will invest in all staff to ensure that they feel prepared, supported, and honored for their role in creating a high-quality experience for all stakeholders.
I look forward to another great school year in Harlem as we strive to continually help our diverse learners realize they have unlimited potential!
