Vaughn’s Home Furnishing & Appliances opened in 1975 when virtually all shopping was done at local businesses. Even as population and business moved away from the store’s 3833 Auburn Street location on the west side of Rockford, the business adapted and survived.

This century, Vaughn’s business has been a retail survivor in the Amazon era that has crushed national names such as Kmart and Sears. This January, Vaughn’s launched a new Facebook page to https://www.facebook.com/vaughnshome/ to show off what it has to offer.
