1983 graduate keeps things running smooth for BorgWarner

Scott Shearrow Class of 1983

Scott Shearrow, Class of 1983, is the senior facilities manager for BorgWarner Inc.’s plant in Dixon, Illinois. Workers at the 57-year-old plant make exhaust gas recirculation colliers, tubes and thermostats for cars and off-road commercial vehicles.

At Harlem, Shearrow played in the symphonic band, earned a spot in the National Honor Society and wrestled. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Bradley University in 1988 and an MBA from Northern Illinois University in 2002.

He worked in engineering, product and project management for a number of Rockford manufacturers, including Amerock Corp. and Zenith Cutter. He joined Borg Warner in January of 2017.
