Class of 1977 grad helps women navigate cancer treatments

Kathi Peebles Bouland Class of 1977

Kathi is a breast health nurse navigator at the SwedishAmerican Regional Cancer Center.

At Harlem, Kathi was a highly active student. She was a member of the girls athletic association, competed on the track team and performed on the pom pon squad. She also was part of the yearbook club, Quill & Scroll, was elected to the student council and earned a place in the National Honor Society.

After Harlem, she earned an associates degree in nursing from Rock Valley College in 2004 and bachelor’s degree in nursing science from Olivet Nazarene University in 2014.

Kathi began working for SwedishAmerican as an oncology nurse in 2008. In her current role, she helps newly diagnosed breast cancer patients through their treatment journey, educating them on options and serving as much needed support.
