At Harlem, Floyette was one of the school’s most active students. She served as class treasurer as well as secretary, was a member of the Girls Athletic Association, worked on the staffs of both the Meteor (yearbook) and Pepper (newspaper), the class play committee, pep club and earned a spot in the National Honor Society.
Floyette began her real estate career in 1984 after the damaging recessions of 1980-1981 and has remained in the business through the Iraq War and Great Recession. She now sells homes for Dickerson & Nieman.
