Student dress has an effect on the learning environment. Students who wear clothing deemed inappropriate by school policy will be asked to change into appropriate clothes for the day. Non-compliance with the dress code will result in disciplinary consequences.
The administration will make the final judgment on the appropriateness of clothing and/or appearance and reserves the right to prohibit students from wearing any articles of clothing or other items which lead to or may foreseeably result in the disruption of or interference with the school environment. In the event the administration determines a student’s dress is inappropriate for school in accordance with this policy, the administration will either require the student to change, request that the student be placed in ISS until a change of clothing is available or for the remainder of the school day. Students will also be informed not to wear the garment to school again.
Clothing must be size appropriate and in good repair (undergarments cannot be seen). Clothing cannot be torn or skin showing above fingertip length.
Shirts, blouses, and dresses must completely cover the abdomen, back, and shoulders and must have sleeves. If a transparent overshirt or jacket is worn, the garment underneath must meet dress code. Shirts, blouses, and tops that are not tucked in must be long enough to cover the midsection when the student is standing or sitting. Skin in the midsection, undergarments, or boxers may not be showing. The following will not be allowed (this is not a comprehensive list): tops with the back out, tops with cleavage showing, tops with any midriff showing, tank tops.
All clothing must meet dress code guidelines and be worn as designed. Skirts, dresses and shorts must be beyond fingertip length when standing and mid-thigh while sitting.

Items that violate the dress code policy may be confiscated and returned to a parent/guardian.
No clothing or jewelry items which may be potentially harmful. The following will not be allowed (this is not a comprehensive list): large, long, and/or heavy chains; studded (spiked) or chained accessories; safety pins as accessories, wallet chains.
