The Regional Office of Education is now taking applications to fill the current Harlem School Board of Education vacancy. In November, Melissa Wenger resigned from her position leaving a vacancy on the Board. District residents who are interested in applying should submit a letter of interest, qualities as to why they would be a candidate to consider, and their current resume with contact information to Scott Bloomquist, regional superintendent, at firstname.lastname@example.org. The term for this seat expires in April of 2021.
Applications are due no later than 4:00 pm on December 27th. The top 3 candidates will be interviewed on January 6th by individuals from the Regional Office of Education. A decision will be made by January 10th and reported to the President of the Harlem Board of Education, Larry Barger, and Superintendent Dr. Julie Morris.
