A Machesney Elementary 5th grader, Averey Anderson, came to her teacher back in October and asked if she could sell bracelets to raise money for Gift of Hope. She made all the bracelets herself and made $200. She donated that money to Gift of Hope in honor of her uncle who was a recipient of an organ when he was a child, and he was an organ donor who saved others after he passed away from a motorcycle accident. Averey is still selling bracelets and has raised over $500 now! She was invited to speak at the Gift of Hope awareness seminar, and she did an amazing job. She also sold more bracelets while there! They have invited her back for an interview which will be shared on Youtube.
