Mr. Ernie Fuhr
ERNIE FUHR comes to us from Rockford Public Schools, where he spent over 20 years working with "at-risk" students, helping them to recover their academic credits and make the transition into the workplace. In 2016, Alignment Rockford recognized Fuhr as "Academy Staff of the Year" for his groundbreaking work with student job shadows, job counseling, and workforce preparation. He brings to Harlem this experience, as well as many insights into careers and the "real world." At Harlem, Mr. Fuhr teaches courses in Career Development and F.I.T. (Fundamentals of Info Technology). Outside of school, Fuhr is a published author of non-fiction. His stories appear in several publications, notably the 2015 book "Winning On the North Side: The 1929 Chicago Cubs". Ernie Fuhr's wife Stephanie is a 3rd grade teacher at Windsor Elementary.
