• Prevention Initiative Birth-Three Program

  • Mission Statement:

    The mission of the Prevention Initiative Program in the Harlem School District is to guide children ages birth to three to become successful lifelong learners by fostering positive relationships among children, their families, the school, and the community.  

     Purpose of the Program:

    Our free program provides services to eligible families who are expecting or have children under the age of three years. Services include in-home support and information for families that monitor achievement of developmental milestones, support positive parent-child interactions, establish chld and family goals, and link families to community resources. 

     What do we offer?

    In addition to in-home visits, we offer the following opportunities for family engagement:

    • Monthly PAWS Morning Coffee Chats at Parker Center
    • Monthly PAWS Family Nights at Parker Center
    • Weekly Playgroups at Local Community Organizations
    • Invitations to Community Events
